Dr. Bautista is a general surgeon who lives and practices in DeLand, Florida. He received his medical degree from Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri. He fulfilled his general surgery residency at the Charity Hospital System of Louisiana State University Medical Center in New Orleans, Louisiana. Dr. Bautista is board certified in general surgery by the American Board of Surgery, and he is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
He serves his community as a team physician for DeLand High School and Stetson University, and is a specialty provider for Good Samaritan Clinic. His interests in general surgery are broad, and he participates with medical missions annually. Dr. Bautista is past president of the Volusia County Medical Society and a delegate for the Florida Medical Association.
He serves on multiple committees at Florida Hospital DeLand. He is a Chief of the Surgery Department and he is a surgical representative of the hospital’s Cancer Committee and Breast Cancer Leadership Committee. He is a former Physician of the Year at Florida Hospital DeLand. Dr. Bautista serves on the operating board of Florida Hospital HealthCare Partners as the regional medical director for Florida Hospital DeLand, and he is the Chairman of the regional Human Resources Committee. Prior to joining Florida Hospital DeLand in 2008, he was in private practice for fifteen years in north central Missouri.
